Kenya
Kenya, located in East Africa, is officially known as the Republic of Kenya. The economy of Kenya relies heavily on agriculture and tourism. Agriculture, on the other hand, is dependant on rain. Coffee, tea, wheat, corn, sisal and pyrethrum are cultivated along with cashew nuts, coconuts, pineapples, cotton and sugarcane. Around seventy five percent of Kenyans are into farming. Main mineral resources of the country include limestone, gemstones, soda ash, salt and fluorspar. Industries of Kenya include: plastic, furniture, batteries, textiles, clothing, soap, flour, commercial ship repair, agricultural products, horticulture, oil refining, aluminum, steel, lead, cement, and tourism. |
